How to Add Page Numbers to a PDF the Professional Way

A report without page numbers is hard to discuss ("see the bit near the end…") and looks unfinished. Adding them takes seconds and immediately makes a document feel professional.

Add page numbers in three steps

  1. Open Page Numbers and load your PDF.
  2. Choose the position (any corner, top or bottom centre), the format (1, 1 of N, or Page 1), and the starting number.
  3. Watch the live preview, then download.

Small touches that look professional

  • Start numbering after a cover page by setting the start number to your first content page.
  • Use "1 of N" for printed handouts so nobody loses a page.
  • Keep numbers in the bottom centre for reports, bottom right for double-sided printing.

Tip: Combine tools — merge your sections first, then add page numbers last so the sequence runs clean from front to back.

Polished documents win attention. Add page numbers now.
